Hailing from his birthplace of Chicago, Alex has been continually pushing his sound to new limits. Starting as a DJ in 1994, then producing & releasing Hard House tracks in 1998 on a variety of vinyl record labels, he gained valuable experience and has no intention of stopping any time soon. Alex is the original 'Alex Kidd' and has been continually improving his production quality & is being regarded as a producer that’s keeping Los Angeles on the map in terms of electronic music productions. With influences in early Hip Hop, Electric Funk & Disco, Alex has managed to set himself apart from the influx of noise being released at the present time. Since learning how to scratch with early Electric Funk & learning how to flare from Bad Boy Bill after opening for him in Mexico in 2000, he’s been incorporating different styles of Djing into his sets. Alex has continually released chart topping releases and has been fortunate enough to have had productions grace a plethora of domestic and foreign dance floors. Currently you may find his Electro House productions under the moniker "Alex Kidd (USA)" and Disco House under "Alex Herrera". Alex’s new venture, Crude Trax, has been a project he’s been waiting for, to allow open creativity without restrictions and offer an avenue for quality artists to pursue and grow.
