Previously known as the Dj/Drummer Duo “Beats & Bombs,” Ted and Justin both come from different musical backgrounds. Ted, a 10-year veteran in the DJ realm, has his musical influence in early 90’s hip hop, turntablism, and funky breakbeats, and has DJed at many venues across Los Angeles and in Las Vegas. Justin, a LA Music Academy graduate, has been playing drums for 10 years for a wide array of local bands, specializing in funk and jazz.They decided to combine their musical skills and started producing original tracks as the “SUBshockers” since December of 2010. They currently have many remixes of popular songs of different genres and original tracks available to be heard on their soundcloud and facebook. Their dubstep remix of Jay-Z’s “Big Pimpin,” helped them hit the dubstep scene with full force, topping #8 on the Hypem popular charts. Their dubstep remix of Waka Flocka Flame’s “No Hands” is currently on rotation on the Los Angeles based radio station POWER 106. Together as the SUBshockers, they have been providing heavy bass music throughout the South Bay at various venues and dubstep events.
